Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is broadcast from Malta's Radio 105FM on Tuesday evenings from 2100 - 2359 hours CET. Over the last weeks we had an incredible success with having a number a great artists sharing an hour with Radio International's Interview Team such as Katrina of Katrina and the Waves, Nicki French, Rainer from Wind, Jalisse, James Newman, Senhit, Vanessa Amarosi, Lesley Roy, just to mention a few.   This week Radio International's Interview Team JP, Sadie Trent and John Dawton are being joined via SKYPE by Eurovision 2011 Winner and Co-Host of Eurovision 2012 from Azerbaijan - Eldar Gasimov who together with his singing partner Nigar Jamal or Nikki won the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song "Running Scared". In 2012, when Azerbaijan's capital Baku hosted Eurovision Eldar was the Co-Host of the Eurovision Song Contest. The Interview Team of Radio International is very much looking forward to having Eldar on the show for a chat and listeners are encouraged to actively take part during the show to submit their questions via our Facebook Chatroom during the live broadcast on Wednesday evening from 1900 - 2300 hours CET or via our website's email address - click here. Junior Eurovision 2020 will take place in Warsaw, Poland after the victory of young Viki Gabor  who won in 2019 in Poland with the song “Superhero”. The contest will be staged on 29 November 2020 with Germany debuting and not taking part in 2020 are Albania, Australia, Ireland, Italy, North Macedonia, Portugal and Wales. 13 countries have confirmed participation: Armenia, Belarus, France, Georgia, Germany, Kazakhstan, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Spain and Ukraine. Performances. Due to the Corona Pandemic a new way had to be found to stage Junior Eurovision 2020. This will be the first time that the contest will be held remotely, with each artist performing from a television studio in their country of origin. To give smoothness and confidence to the competition, the 13 participating broadcasters committed themselves to giving equal conditions to each of the participants, using a similar scenario and the same technical resources. The opening protocol, interval acts and voting will be broadcast live from Warsaw. Hosts. Ida Nowakowska-Herndon, Rafał Brzozowski and Małgorzata Tomaszewska will present the 18th edition of the Contest on 29 November 2020. Besides of the four hour long weekly edition of Europe's favourite Eurovision Radio show there is a new two hours oldies show with music from across the decades from the 50s to the 2010s hosted by JP from Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience. Live Interview with Franklin Calleja Johnston (Malta Eurovision Song Contest Finalist): In the Corona series of live interviews Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is reaching out to a number of artists from the world of the Eurovision Song Contest but also from the national finals. This week Radio International's Interview Team JP, David Mann, Sadie Trent and John Dawton are being joined via SKYPE by Franklin Calleja Johnston from sunny Malta. Franklin has been taking part in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest since 2013 until 2017 with great results reaching a high of Number 3 in 2016 with the song "Little Love". Then Eurovision Winner 2009 Alexander Rybak from Norway believed in Franklin and wrote him the song "Still here" which came 5th in the Maltese National Final. In 2018, Franklin entered the National Final of San Marino which was won by fellow Maltese Jessika who then represented San Marino at Eurovision 2018. Franklin reached 5th place with the song "Stay". Malta's Broadcaster PBS then decided to make the X-Factor Winner represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 and 2020 and Franklin took part in the the X-Factor competition 2019 but unluckily was eliminated in the final stages of the competition. Now Franklin wants to revitalise his music career and let's get an update from Franklin on the show this week.
