    In his weekly radio address, President Bush said, "In the weeks ahead, the Senate will have an opportunity to rise above partisanship. I've spoken to Senate Majority Leader Frist and Minority Leader Reid, as well as Chairman and Ranking Member of the Judiciary Committee, Senators Specter and Leahy. These senators share my goal of an orderly and dignified confirmation process, and it is important that Judge Roberts be confirmed before the Court reconvenes on October the 3rd."

    In his weekly radio address, President Bush said, "On the day of the London attacks, every world leader at the G8 summit stood with Prime Minister Blair as he said: 'Our determination to defend our values and our way of life is greater than their determination to cause death and destruction to innocent people.' The free world is united in its resolve: We will never yield to terrorists and murderers. In the face of such adversaries, there is only one course of action: We will continue to take the fight to the enemy, and we will fight until the enemy is defeated."
